Lazy Hands Lose Deals

Chapter: Proverbs 5 | Verse: Proverbs 10:4

You can have the dream, the opportunity, and the talent—but if your hands stay in your pockets, don’t expect a harvest. Solomon didn’t sugarcoat laziness. He called it what it is: the fast track to poverty.

“Poor is he who works with a slack hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.” — Proverbs 10:4, LSB

Proverbs 5 warns about the seductive pull of shortcuts—especially in the areas of purity and discipline. And Proverbs 10 drives the point home: laziness is deadly, not just financially, but spiritually.

God honors diligence. Not hustle-for-hustle’s sake, but faithful, daily effort that reflects His character. He’s a worker. A Creator. A Redeemer. And He calls us to reflect Him in our labor.

Lazy hands don’t just lose money—they miss out on maturity, stewardship, and legacy.

This isn’t about performance—it’s about purpose. Laziness isn’t rest. It’s resistance to responsibility. And it will cost you.
