It Takes a City to Raise a Temple

Chapter: Nehemiah 11 | Verse: Nehemiah 11:1–2

“And the people blessed all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.”

— Nehemiah 11:2 LSB

Not every revival needs a microphone. Sometimes it just needs someone willing to move into a broken part of town because God’s presence belongs there.

The city needed more than a wall—it needed people. So leaders and volunteers moved back in, bringing life, worship, and order to what had been a ghost town.

Faithfulness doesn’t always feel heroic. Sometimes it just looks like showing up.

Where is God asking you to “move in”—not physically, but spiritually? Is there a place of spiritual ruin that needs your presence?

Revival is local. Personal. Quiet. Walking with God is about small, daily decisions to dwell where God has called you—even when it’s uncomfortable.

Closing Prayer

Lord, make me faithful to dwell where You place me. Use my obedience to bring life.
