Chapter: Proverbs 11 | Verse: Proverbs 19:20
You’re never too old, too educated, or too spiritual to be teachable. In fact, the moment you stop learning—you stop leading. Wisdom isn’t a diploma. It’s a posture.
“Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days.” — Proverbs 19:20, LSB
Proverbs 11 reminds us that wise counsel delivers. It preserves life. But it only works if you’re willing to listen.
Teachability isn’t about IQ or background. It’s about humility. It’s the willingness to admit: I don’t know everything. And I don’t see everything clearly.
The wise surround themselves with godly voices—and listen. The fool believes he already knows enough.
This verse in Proverbs 19 is a lifelong invitation: Stay teachable, and you’ll stay wise.
